For Participants: Your Content & Your Rights
What is Recordr?
- Recordr is a platform where people and organisations – our Clients – can request video, text, or audio responses (content).
- Our Clients are in control of setting the questions they ask you, and bear primary responsibility with regards to the video and data they collect from you.
How it works
- Your responses (content) are collected through a unique link created by Recordr based on the Client’s settings. When you click the link, you will be asked to give your consent for the Client to collect and use your responses and data. Once you tick the consent box, you can follow the instructions and start recording your responses.
- In some cases, you may be asked to provide your details, such as name or email.
- You choose what you say in recordings and should never be coerced into saying anything you don’t want to.
- You must be at least 16 years of age to use Recordr.
Your content & data
Who collects your content & data
- In most cases, your responses (content) and data are collected and used by the Client who sets the questions. In these cases, the Client is the data controller, and GoRemote acts as a data processor for privacy-related matters.
- Sometimes, you may receive a request for responses directly from us – GoRemote Ltd. In these cases, we are the data controller for privacy-related matters.
- For either option, we may use your data for service improvement based on our legitimate interest.
How your content & data is used
- Your content (responses) and data are used for the purposes you consent to when you tick the consent box before recording your responses. This may include marketing, research, or feedback purposes. Your content (responses) can be edited, displayed, and published in various media, including marketing materials.
- We also use your data to improve the Recordr platform, including using AI to analyse your content (responses) for transcription, translation, and to aid content categorisation, trend analysis, and reporting to our Client.
Ownership & use
Content ownership & license
- You are the owner of your content (responses) and personal data.
- By submitting your content (responses), you grant GoRemote and the requesting Client a non-exclusive license (permission) to use, reproduce, edit, adapt, modify, distribute, perform, and display your content.
Acceptable content & use
- The opinions, views, and comments you share are your own. GoRemote is not liable for any consequences resulting from them, including any potential harm or defamatory content.
- It is prohibited to upload or submit any copyrighted recordings or content not owned by you, or any offensive, harmful, pornographic, violent, hate-related, discriminatory or inappropriate material.

Your data rights
Your rights under GDPR include the right, at any point, to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data, withdraw consent or object to processing of your data.
How to withdraw consent or exercise other rights
- If you want to withdraw consent, object to processing or have another request relating to your data, you should try to contact Recordr’s client directly (as the data controller). However, you can also contact us at privacy@recordr.video
- In certain circumstances, if the content has already been published, we may not always be able to remove it entirely due to practical, legal or contractual reasons.
